garlic

Selling gourmet garlic grown at our farm. We frequently hear that our garlic is the best customers have ever tasted. Our garlic is grown beyond organic standards without supplemental fertilizers or pesticides. We have five different varieties available:  

 

Spanish Roja

Has an excellent complex flavour that balances heat with sweetness. It is the best variety for eating raw and also one of the most medicinal due to the high amounts of allicin produced.  

Big boy

Big boy is a porcelain variety of garlic that produces very large bulbs and cloves. Can be stored up to 6 months.  

Russian red

Similar to Spanish Roja in that it has a delicious and complex flavour with sweetness and a full taste. Does not store as well as other types of garlic.  

nordic

A marbled purple stripe variety that has both heat and strong flavour. Generally has big bulbs and is easy to peel.  

softneck

 A milder tasting variety of garlic. Stores well and can be braided.

Our holistic orchard has been designed with ecology and environmental protection in mind. We strive towards extraordinary biodiversity both to produce a bountiful and varied harvest, but also to work with nature as closely as possible. We believe working with nature allows for fewer inputs, healthier and safer food and more positive outcomes for environmental health.
