Apricot

Many people are surprised that we can grow apricots in Manitoba. Although it is possible for us to grow apricots, they tend to flower early and have tender blossoms. If you are interested in growing apricots, it would be best to plant in a place to provide afternoon shade in the spring. This way flowering can be delayed and reduce the chance that they will receive frost. Though there is a chance a late frost will damage the blooms, these tasty treats will delight in the years it does produce.
